Paul Barwick and Andrew Pascoe founded the company which has grown to become one of the most sought-after mining contractors in Australia, surrounded by a team of some 120 dedicated and professional employees.

Andrew Pascoe
Director
Andrew, as a founding Director of MCA Engineering, has over 30 years’ experience in providing complex solutions to the mining, engineering and construction industry. During this time, Andrew had attained extensive knowledge of Mines Shaft operation. Andrew is now a highly sought after consultant who provides the technical expertise through all conceptual design, fabrication, construction and installation processes to assist your needs.
Paul Barwick
Director
Paul, as a founding Director of MCA Engineering, has 30 years’ experience in the mining and construction industry. Paul’s extensive knowledge of the mechanical aspects of mines equipment and machinery has resulted in Paul interacting with clients as a design and innovative solution specialist. Paul’s main objective is to always create a system for clients that is both “effective in function” and “efficient in minimising cost”.
Toby Oliver
Operations Manager
Toby is a practical person from a mechanical fitter background specialising in mines shaft and underground work. Toby joined the MCA team in 2008 and moved through the trade/supervisory roles. MCA identified quickly Toby’s capability to lead and excel within the mining industry. In 2012, Toby became MCA Queensland Operations Manager. For 18 months, Toby oversaw MCA’s unprecedented growth throughout Queensland, and in 2014, Toby moved into a Project Management role and oversaw MCA’s largest project ever, the Glencore Crude Ore Refurbishment Project. In 2015, Toby moved into his new role as MCA Operations Manager, in control of MCA Operations, Australia-wide.
